Admission Criteria

Two of the following:  
  • HS GPA: 2.5 GPA 
  • HS Rank: Upper Half 
  • GED: Sub-scores ≥ 145
  • ACT: 18 
  • SAT: 960
  • College GPA: 2.0 GPA - Based on 12+ credits. 
Students not meeting two of the above criteria are required to take the Next-Generation ACCUPLACER: 
  • Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra and Statistics (QAS): 225
  • Writing: 255 
All students must also meet the TEAS Requirement Scores: 
  • TEAS Math: 62 
  • TEAS Reading: 73

The TEAS requirement will be waived for students completing the STC Allied Health Certificate with a 2.5 GPA or higher and/or ACT sub-scores of at least 21 in both Reading and Math.

Southeast Technical College's Respiratory Therapist program is a Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) program. You may purchase a laptop on your own or from the Southeast Tech Support Center.
